In response to the recent events I looked for a way to talk to my 6 year old daughter about what was going on. It all seemed so complicated to explain to her, explaining the word racism was heart breaking. When I broke it down into simple words the main lesson I wanted her to take from all of it is a core moral that has been taught to her always- lead your heart with kindness. We also always look for the helpers and try to be a helper (thank you Mr. Rogers for that simple lesson!) SO, Rita decided we needed to do something to spread the word of kindness & to help.
