Cake pop treats made by employee Rachel made me cry, seeing our first customer try on a dress in the dressing rooms- cried 2nd time, opening the doors and seeing the whole shop complete- yep more tears!!

We did it! April 19 was move-in day (also an unplanned rainy/sleeting day) and May 2 was an advertised Open House event that had been advertised, so needless to say, we had a deadline. After MANY late nights, friends and family helping, and Patricia shining down on me, the addition was done (enough) to open in early May. The paint was hardly dry and there were many things just temporarily in place, but no one noticed. All we heard about was how beautiful it was. It was a fun night of many local ladies, fellow business owners, and friends stopping in to see what’s been behind the papered-up windows all winter. I can’t count how many times I cried, not sure if it was from complete exhaustion, my gratitude for all the help, or just pure happiness, probably all of these combined but needless to say I was overwhelmed by how amazing seeing a dream come true feels.

Patricia Shoppe reopened with a crack of thunder and a light rain on May 2 at 4:00 p.m.
